Permissions

The Permissions section allows for modifying access rights to data within the add-on.

Before starting to use the add-on, the Jira administrator must grant themselves permissions to view data within the add-on.

  1. Permission type - allows selecting which element's permissions are to be edited.

  2. Users/group - allows selecting the level at which permissions should be added: either to an individual user or to a Jira user group.

Important! If permissions are set for a user both at the individual level and at the group level, the permissions are cumulative.

Types of permissions

User list

Permissions related to the user list and the ability to assign, edit, delete organizations and properties.

  • User list view - allows viewing the user list

  • User organization edit - allows editing the assigned organization

  • User organization delete - allows removing the assigned organization, as well as deleting all assigned organizations from the user menu

  • User property assign - allows assigning properties

  • User property edit - allows editing the value of an assigned property

  • User property delete - allows removing an assigned property

  • All permissions - allows for all of the above

Organization chart

Permissions for viewing the graphical organizational chart and user properties. By default, users can view organizational charts for the organizations to which they are assigned.

  • Organization chart - allows for selecting which organizations a user or group of users can view in the graphical organizational chart

  • User property view - allows for selecting which user properties a user or group of users can view

  • All permissions - allows visibility of all organizations and user properties
