Users menu

The Users menu section presents a list of users with their assigned properties and organization membership.

Description of section functionality:

The field in the Search section allows to search user database. The search is carried out according to any value visible in the table.
Fields with filters in the Advanced filters section allow to narrow down the list of users accordingly to the selected filter. Filtering by multiple fields at the same time results in a sum of the filtered values.
The buttons in Advanced filters section allow to activate filters:
- Show users with no organization
- Show users with no job title
- Show users with no managers
- Inactive users
- Active users

When using defined filters, all previous filters are canceled. Filter buttons operate as toggles. The first press defines the filter, and the second press deactivates it. It is possible to apply a combination, i.e., selecting a defined filter and narrowing the list using the text fields in the Advanced filters section.

The Clear all filters button clears all previous filters and displays the entire user list.
The user table contains data about the user's assignment to the organization, their assigned properties, and whether the user is active in the Jira system.
The Action menu allows operations on a given user, including:
- Edit users properties - here, we can assign a new property to the user, edit property values, or delete user properties.
- Edit user organization profile - here, we can assign the user to a previously created organization level, edit their organizational membership, or remove the user from the organization.
- Show in organization chart - selecting this option results in displaying a graphical organizational chart to the user.
- Remove from organizations - allows for removal from all organizations with a single button. This option is not available if the user is inactive.

Assigning user properties

To assign user properies created through User Properties | Creating a new property select Edit user properties option from the Actions menu

followed by Assign user property

After selecting a property from the list and entering its value, select the Save button for the property to be added to the user:

Assigning user organization membership

To create user organizational profile, select Edit user organization profile option from the Actions menu

Then, select Add user to the organization button

Select previously created Organization (1), complete employee job title (2), select the level of organization the employee belongs to (3) and optionally, complete the remaining profile data (4).

Remove user from the organization charts

To remove user from the organization charts, select “Remove from organizations” option from the Actions menu:

Every week, the list of all users is automatically reviewed, and users who have been removed from Jira are also removed from the add-on's user list.
