Deployment of a new add-on in Jira typically requires initial data input. To meet user needs and increase simplicitation of the process certain facilitation mechanisms have been developed.

To start working with the add-on, we suggest taking the following steps:

  1. Install the add-on, as described in chapter "Installing the Add-on" Installing the Add-on

  2. Assign appropriate permissions in accordance with the organization's rules, as described in chapter "Permissions" Permissions

  3. Create organization and organizational levels, and assign individuals responsible for each level, as described in chapter "Organizations https://coigsa.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/UPOS/pages/1048586/Organizations#Creating-a-new-organization

  4. Create global properties, visible to all users, as described in chapter "User properties” https://coigsa.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/UPOS/pages/983057/User+properties#Creating-a-new-property

  5. Create private properties, visible only to selected users, as described in chapter "User properties” https://coigsa.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/UPOS/pages/edit-v2/983057#Tworzenie-nowej-w%C5%82a%C5%9Bciwo%C5%9Bci

  6. Export the list of users and organizations to a CSV file Import & export

  7. Complete the list of users by assigning the appropriate organizational levels in a CSV file

  8. Import users with organizations from a CSV file

  9. Export the list of users with properties to a CSV file

  10. Complete the values for user properties in a CSV file

  11. Import users with properties from a CSV file

  12. Configure options to display data on Jira tasks User properties
